Materials of Construction
Selecting the right metallurgy is critical for project longevity. We stock and supply a spectrum of materials ranging from standard Carbon Steel to exotic Nickel Superalloys for extreme environments.
Engineering Your Material Selection
At Pannani Tubes, we understand that every industrial application demands specific material properties—whether it is creep resistance for power plants, pitting resistance for desalination, or high-pressure tolerance for oil transmission. Explore our comprehensive range of raw materials below.
Carbon Steel
The backbone of industrial piping. Offers high strength and durability for structural and fluid transmission applications at moderate temperatures. Cost-effective and widely available.
ASTM A106 Gr B/C • API 5L X42-X70 • ASTM A53 • A333 Gr 6
Alloy Steel
Chrome-Molybdenum steels designed for high-temperature service. The addition of Cr and Mo increases creep rupture strength and corrosion resistance, making them essential for power plant boilers.
ASTM A335 P11, P22, P91, P92 • ASTM A387 Gr 11/22
Stainless Steel
Characterized by high chromium content, forming a passive layer that resists corrosion. Ideal for chemical processing, food industries, and environments requiring hygiene and rust prevention.
TP 304/304L • TP 316/316L • TP 321 • TP 347 • 904L
Duplex Steel
A dual-phase microstructure combining ferritic and austenitic properties. Offers double the strength of standard stainless steel and exceptional resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking.
UNS S31803 (2205) • UNS S32750 (2507) • Zeron 100
Nickel Alloys
Superalloys engineered for the most severe conditions. Inconel withstands extreme heat in jet engines/furnaces, while Monel offers supreme resistance to seawater and acids.
Inconel 600/625 • Monel 400/K500 • Hastelloy C276
Corten Steel
Also known as weathering steel. It develops a stable, rust-like protective patina appearance after exposure to weather, eliminating the need for painting. Popular in architecture and outdoor structures.
ASTM A588 • Corten A / B • IRS M41
Titanium
Combines high strength with low weight and outstanding corrosion resistance, especially in saltwater. Critical for aerospace, marine, and chemical plant heat exchangers.
Grade 2 (Commercially Pure) • Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V)
Copper Nickel
Cu-Ni alloys are renowned for their resistance to seawater corrosion and biofouling. They are the standard choice for marine piping, condensers, and desalination plants.
Cu-Ni 90/10 (C70600) • Cu-Ni 70/30 (C71500)
